HI,
Every time I write a long message, I am forbidden to send it : When I type " submit", a message tells me I am not logged in. And I had logged in just before starting to write.... English is not my mother language, so it takes me some time to write it, but is it a reason ????
Thanks for your help

Hi,
I think what happens is that when you type a long post the system does not "see" activity for a time & logs you out.
The only way round this is to type your post on word and then "cut & paste" it.
That should work ok.

equidum,
When you log into the site, you start a "user session." A user session lasts a predetermined amount of time. I'll guess MD's sets their user session to something like 15-30 minutes.
If there is no activity during that time, the site will expire the session and you are logged out. The timer for session expiration begins when your activity stops (opening posts, viewing images count as activity).
When you are typing a lengthy message into the web pages text field, the site has no idea you are still active. The last activity it registered was you opening the post page.
As bfrug suggested, if you are going to compose a long message, do it off-line in a separate word processor application. Once finished, open a post window and copy & paste the information.
The other advantage for using a word processor is that you can spell check before you copy and paste.
Hope this helps :)

Thank you, Supine for your clear explanation. As I mentioned in a previous mail, I will soon try to post thru Words soon ( If Spicedog doesn't wish to continue his great story, I might try to ....)
Thanks
