I started writting this story and posting it here awhile back. I stopped posting it because.... well let's just say I let my temper get the best of me.

Anyway here it is , just remember this is a work of TOTAL FICTION !!! It was inspired by someone though..,



Surrendering to Sylva



It was early spring and the pressure of city life was really getting to me. My friend offered me the use of his cabin in the mountains as a getaway for some R&R ,so I took him up on his offer. I had been up there many times ,and it was definitely the place to get away to. I left for the mountains wednesday night after stopping to pick up the key. It was a 3 hour drive i spent the drive time thinking about which stream I'd fish first. I arrived late at night, I'd forgotten how few cabins were up here. I was basically alone in the wilderness. I went to bed as soon as I got unpacked, and checked the cabin over. I woke at the crack of dawn and set out for my favorite stream. I'd been fishing up here for years and the one thing I liked the most was, even on the weekends you might walk a stream for 3-4 miles and only see a handful of people. I figured being still a weekday I'd be lucky to see anyone else way up here. I parked at the bridge and gathered my fishing gear, and gun and headed up stream. I had always carried a gun up hear lots of bears,coyotes& rattlesnakes. I had made my way upstream about 3 miles and hadn't seen a sole yet. I knew there was a big hole around the next bend ,I decided I'd fish that and then eat lunch and head back downstream. I rounded the bend in the stream and to my dismay saw another person fishing about 100 yards upstream of the hole. Well I was already at the hole so I got in the spot I wanted. I kept looking over my shoulder to check on my competition.
Whoever it was , was working their way down to the hole. Which was ok by me the hole was plenty big for two. I noticed that this person was very tall right form the start, and assumed it was a man. But now at about 25 yards I realized it was a woman, and she was way taller than me. She made it to the hole and caught 3 fish on 3 casts. I was amazed I hadn't caught one yet!
She was only about 15 feet away now so I said " hello." She said" hello and you don't mind sharing the hole do you?" I said "not at all it's nice to see another person out here." I kept glancing over at her she must be easily 6'5" maybe even taller, she had blonde hair that was braided into a ponytail. The next morning arrived and I was headed for Sylva's place . Her directions said that the road I was on was a dead end that ended at her house. It was a dirt road , most up here are. " I said "what do you have in mind?" She said "first we will test our shooting skills, first person to miss their target loses. Second we will test our balance and coordination. " she pointed to a long log on the ground, and said " we will both stand on the log at opposite ends on one foot, whoever falls first loses." Sylva pause for a moment then said "and for the third, in the event of a tie we will wrestle to declare a victor! " My mind instantly went back to the stream when she said I can squash most men like a bug! I stood there speechless for a moment as she smiled at me. I finally said "what are we competing for, I mean every competition has it's prize." Sylva said " well I suggest that the loser must do whatever the victor tell them to do ." " I was a little worried as I thought it over, I figured I'd win the shooting. I knew the balance thing should also be in my favor , being the taller you are the worse your balance is.
