Keeping MDFF Legal....and Alive....

One of the things that keeps MDFF open is that we try to make sure we do not violate content laws. If we violate those laws, we risk the very existence of MDFF.

So, as a minimum, we have to be aware of anything that's posted in our Forums that may breach the law.

Some of the MDFF Rules enforce applicable content laws. Moderators try to keep an eye on this as much as they can - but they can't see everything, in every forum....Therefore, Mods need your help...

If any member of MDFF sees something posted that is a breach of our rules, then please alert the Moderators straight away....its the responsibility of all members (and is in their own best interest) to report potential problem posts.

How to Report a Post to a Moderator

At the top-right corner of each post is a “hazard sign” icon (see below). If you click on that sign you’ll be taken to a screen where you may enter text to explain why you’re reporting the post, and a Send Report button to send your message to the Moderators of that Forum.

http://fapomatic.com/21/report.gif

If you are not sure whether a post violates a Rule then report it anyway. Allow the Moderators to make the final judgment, and take action if necessary. As the old adage says, “better safe than sorry.”

Again, it is in the interest of each member to help the MDFF Team to keep MDFF free of illegal and hazardous content. Please keep that in mind as you peruse the Forums.

will do my best... but what are national content laws?

In England (where I am) the age of consent is 16 - so some of my favourite facesitting stories (older woman corrupting a younger man) are perfectly legal in the UK - do they violate national content laws?

I understand the need for this site to have a "whiter than white" policy in policing the boards and would not deliberatly want to harm this forum

The age of consent here may be 16, but that is when it comes to sexual relationships. When it comes to sexual text/images the legal age is 18. So while in England it is perfectly legal to have sex with a 16 year old it is illegal to write about having sex with them. Weird, but still, thats the law as far as I am aware.

Just gross...

You guys know any 16 year olds? They're kids for chrissakes...why would a man be interested?

What a dumb consent law...

Anyway, nothing here under the age of 18 and I don't care what country you're from or what planet you're on...it's just as much a moral reason as it is a legal reason...

To avoid my name being tarnished forever.... I wouldn't be interested in anyone under the age of 18 in the slightest, or anyone under the age of 20 for that matter. I was just pointing out the law for Ben.

ok - i get it now

John - you misunderstood - I'm not interested in 16 year olds - but when I was 16 I was interested in older women - stories of that nature unfortunately fall foul of the rules (which i will uphold - I'd hate to get banned from the best site on the net!)

John's comment on UK consent law prompted me to research consent laws in other countries, it's surprisingly varied, even in the USA! :D
I found this chart on the AIDS charity Avert website.
www.avert.org/aofconsent.htm

Take some time to explore this site, its an excellent resource on AIDS and other STDs.

Just wanted to point out, that in America it is never illegal to write about anything. You can write stories about 80 year old men raping a 10 year old Martin Luthar King while Jesus watches.

Freedom of speech.

This has been upheld countless times in court when going after pedophiles and what not.

I personally would never have sex with a teenager. But I love stories about women dominating young boys. My fetish hit hard when I was around 13 and I love stories about boys at that age and dominate women.

I would never watch it in a video, don't want to see it in real life, I just like stories that let me put myself back in that time.

--

Anyway, just rambling and putting forth that it is not illegal for any art form (including drawings)

I have to go to Hawthorn here. I would never post anything to jepordize the site but the First Amendment laws in the US always play out in the favor of the freedom of speech person. I studied alittle journalism in college and every case we studied held up. Im not trying to complain or change your rules or even cause problems among the site I just agree with Hawthorn's point.

And like Hawthorn i just rambled enough so im done.

Not quite true. Both in the UK and in the US it is illegal to encourage or incite an illegal act - any illegal act, and of course this includes any under-age sexual activity. To provide any such material on this subject on an open Internet website that deals with sexual matters and which might excite and therefore encourage anyone with such tendencies is, quite properly, illegal.

I have discussed this at length with my Mistress who writes many stories and has written on this theme in the past. We came to the conclusion that it was safer to stay away from this area altogether or at the very least to keep the ages of the participants in stories totally unspecific. There is currently a small but powerful group in the USA who are totally anti-porn and will do their utmost to find the slightest excuse to have web sites dealing with anything sexual removed fro the Internet. It's just not worth the risk.

Oh dont worry John I have the upmost respect for your rules and laws and I really hope I never accidently break any of them because I would honestly never do it on purpose. I have always been very interested in the law and since I am striving to go to law school in a few years I always like to learn new things about the US laws so thats why I asked. Honeslty im still curious about the answer.
