What is the problem?

I haven't been on too much this weekend, but I just came across the Toilet for a Day thread that posed a problem. With all due respect (and I mean that sincerely), what's the problem? I am one of those who consider scat to be the ultimate form of femdom. I am not trying to start an argument, but is there a specific reason that this sort of content isn't allowed anymore, or is it just that one of the moderators doesn't like that kind of thing for their own taste? I thought that we were pretty much free to post adult natured things here. Has that changed? I certainly hope not!

MDFF has never been a "free for all" enterprise. It's an amalgam of what the individuals running it find acceptable. From John, to me, to the moderators running individual forums. "Scat" is not the only thing to find disfavor at individual forums here. Certain "crush" topics were eliminated, not just because of legal issues, but also because of the preferences of individual moderators and one former administrator, and me. Likewise, "incest" type topics were recently prohibited for similar reasons.

In the end, these forums are run by people. And they're unwilling to be associated with certain topics. I include myself in that, and I speak for others in this.

Well, even though we mods run our own forums (and John and I handle the overall picture here), each still represents MDFF - and is represented by it. None (that I'm aware of) would like to see that kind of thing here - I know I don't.

Like I said, MDFF is a lot of things to tens of thousands of people, but it is not everything to everybody.

I guess I just don't understand why that type of content is not allowed here all of a sudden; it (to my knowledge) never posed a problem before; it was always understood that if a thread had a title like that and it wasn't your thing you just didn't go in and look at it.
If it is a legal issue, then I am definitely in support of not having it here; I admit I don't know the legalities of pics/clips of that nature, but if it's just that people find it disgusting then I see it as nothing but a double standard; seeing people being made to lick inch-thick dirt off the feet of a woman who has been walking all over town barefoot is okay, but don't show someone being used as a toilet, because that's just gross.
Again, I'm not trying to start anything here; it's not going to ruin my day if I don't see that kind of thing here, but I did think it added some variety.
My point is simply that I've always thought myself to be of the same mindset as most of the mature members/mods of the forum, and this issue just really baffled me because I am seeing it as 'oh, I don't personally like that so it shouldn't be here.'
It doesn't mean I'm unhappy with the forum because I still think it's a great place, I'm just having a pretty hard time with this one. Trust me, I do appreciate the hard work the mods put in; I've been around here long enough to see how clean they've kept this place, and I trust their judgement implicitly. I was just surprised and a little disappointed in this one area. Maybe Sauur's idea of having a separate forum for that kind of thing (if it's even legal) wouldn't be a bad idea. Then again, if the mods simply can't stand looking at it, it won't do because, unlike everyone else who is complaining, the mods DO have to look at everything to decide if it's ok to be posted in these forums.

I agree with you oddworld, to me, I find trampling not my thing, although my viewpoint is to each his own. I've always taken it that if you don't have interest in a topic, then you don't look at it, period.
