what do you mean?

Haven't you got into an argument the other day about using the forums for commercials? Don't look so innocent. Is this another one?

Moderators! Can you not check and ban people from their IP address details? We had northwindx join last month who's only interest was hassling people on the board. He was banned this month and as soon as he was banned there was a remarkably similar new board member calling himself Oley who lasted a couple of days I think before getting banned for the same actions and against the same board member. Now we have yet another person - toelicker1 - who by strange coincidence also frequents the Turkish forum just like his previous 2 aliases and is once again attacking the same board member!

Thats ridiculous, these trolls usually use Proxy tools and use proxies .... which means they are under the cover of an anonymous IP address.... they probably have tons of registered user names... thats why I believe that the members on this board are just a coupla thousand .... and each member has 5 - 10 user names.... its possible isn't it.... when you can have tons of email addresses you can have tons of user logins...

The best the mods can do is abuse nice people like myself.... and ignore these trolls...who cause the real damage... :et

I'm afraid crudwell is right: most trolls use proxy servers for starters - and if we ban by IP then we run the risk of banning whole servers for everyone (ie: AOL tends to use the same prefixes and - if you ban one - often times you can ban that whole area from access). The best we can do is attempt to police the boards and watch possible threats.

As you can note, the user has already been banned ... (damn and I didn't get the chance to do it myself first :evillaugh ) - and remember: moderators are human on their best days ~_^ with real lives and real issues, so we're not always at the beck and call of each individual situation. We'll get there as soon as possible and deal with it as best as we might to our abilities.

Thanks both of you :)

I am having internet trouble so didn't realise the drama!

Thank you to all once again. This is genuinely not a commercial. I just go on the radio show a lot, and they love to have people from 'different' backgrounds on it!

Thank you for all the suppport guys :) x
