Should Slave Initiate Communication/Check-in?

Does a mistress/domme want or expect her slave to check in with her frequently or is that annoying to her?
I'm conflicted as I haven't heard from her in several days and don't want to bother her as she may think I'm over eager or suffering from separation anxiety. On the otherhand, I may be misreading the situation in that she may actually expect me to contact her. Would love to hear comments. Thank you:)

Many of My special ones, call Me, email Me in the time between our session times. Some call Me weekly, and I do not mind that at all. It is a nice personal touch, to have contact in that way, and to have that bond and connection.

It depends how often you visit you Mistress to be honest :)

Thank you mistress, that's good to know. We both have very busy schedules so visits are not that frequent, maybe 2-3 times a month.

I actually enjoy the frequent communication - even if I'm not able to respond back immediately. It gives me that smile through my day, lets me know that they are thinking of me and appreciating me and helps bridge the gap that a couple days appart could cause. I wouldn't flood her (several emails of the "where are you!?" kind - or leaving numerous phone messages) but a message every other day or so ... sometimes every day depending ... is a nice gesture and - for me - highly appreciated.
