That's actually a very significant misunderstanding on your part: in fact most strap on play has very little to do with a "gay" leaning as it does the basic domination and humilation aspects. In fact - many men (and a good number of them vanilla/straight males) enjoy some sort of anal play because the prostate is a very sensitive, and erotic zone.

Analingus and Anal Fingering

That is surely why this activity sets off the “homosexual flag” when most straight males are confronted with it.
