Iraqi Disinformation Ministry
These guys are cracking me up...I'm waiting for the next announcement from the Iraqi spokesman...
"We have taken over the White House and have Bush in custody. God is great!"
And of course, no chemical weapons over there...
It would be comedy if it wasn't such a shame...

If the Iraqis ever enters the US, you will have my support to:
1. Invasion
Invade the homes of all Iraqis in your naighborhood. If no Iraqis live in your naigborhood North Korean, Syrian or Iranian naighbors are ligitimate targets of your invasion also.
2. Bombardment
I have you under suspection of having a few % of French blood in your venes - so of course you are welcome to through organges at the houses for a week or two before you start your invasion.
3. Information
Invite an "embedded" journalist to follow the battle and holding us informed here at the board how far the the battle is moving ahead. Lilldog would be a good choise to prevent complaints that the jounalist is a misinformer.
4. Post invasion
Ask your other naighbors to pay for the demages after your invasion (and cleaning up the organges).
-----------
As I come from a little European country I can only support you with 1 box of oranges and a lot of words

Hell, while I'm in here, I might as well add to this one.
That Information Minister, damn right, it shouldn't be funny - but these days I can't wait for him on the box. These 'rascals'. I've seen so-called satirical TV shows parody people, and not get near this level of brazen fantasy.
I suppose, when it comes to it, he only says he's the Information Minister - he doesn't say his information is any damn good. No different from a "British Rail" train announcer, in that respect.
He'll still be there, saying it, with a tank parked on his head.
Ah, well...

"the American Mercenaries are being killed. they are no where near Baghdad. we surrounded them, and we killed most of them, and we will finish the rest of them soon."
who is he calling Mercenaries ? that guy cracks me up, i stay up late to see him on the TV, he like looks you in the face and lies to you! kinda like that democ-rat clinton
"i did not have sexual relations with that woman"
"the Mercenaries are not in Baghdad"
though i wont go as far as comparing a US president to a scumbag..... even if he is a democ-rat.

@mediman900
... or we could quote Bush senior:
Read my lips - nor more taxes
...what a joke!
As for the Iraqi (mis)information minister:
It seems clear that he was not speaking to the western world at his pressconferrences, it was pointed to the arabic opinion in their countrys. Even he might not be very skilled (I, for my part, donīt think he is dumb) he know what the people of the western world is watching in the TV. Many arabic countrys donīt have any kind of free medias - it was a show for those medias in an effort to raise arabic resistence against the war.

Just for your information - most people in the Arabic world donīt watch satelite TV. Al-Jazeera is ex. only watcht by about 35 million people in the Arabic world. Most people watch goverment controlled TV-stations. Infact no Arabic country have a real democrasy with free and independent medias. Some countrys come closer then others - like Turkey and Egypt.

@ JUMP
well first of all, id like to let you know that Turkey is NOT an arabic country. Turkey is one of the most democratic countries, after Israel in the middle east, but they are NOT arabs, and neither are the Iranians.
People in the middle east to have access to Satellite channels, the majority of the arab countries (like Kuwait, oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan..) have modern countries and as far as i know they are switching to cable( at least some of the above i know for a fact). I've Visited a number of countries in the mideast, including Turkey, the UAE and Kuwait, and frankly there is not much difference in what people get to access/watch on TV.... so trust me they have the sources they need.... and as for the other countries likes of Syria, Iran(non arab), and to some extend Saudi Arabia, have got the internet, and they can find all kinds of news from a variety of sources.

Your correct about Turkey and Iran not being Arabic countrys - what I ment was Middle East area - the culture of the Middle East, including Arabs, Persians and Turks etc.
Many of the Middle East countrys are agriculture countrys - what means that most people live outside the big citys. And the numbers that watch Al-Jazeera is not more then 30-35 millions.

Thats the problem - Israel and Turkey is the only democratic countrys in that region and they are not even a really democracys. Democracy is much much more then just voting once and a wheile. Ask the Kurdes in Turkey how they feel the Turk democracy - ask the Palestiniens how they feel the Israeli democracy. Democracy is not just for one part of the population.

thats right jump,
but can you ever have a situation where everyone is happy? the Kurds want their own country... if that happens, they would get a piece of land-locked land that is between Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran... and none of those countries want to see a Kurdish nation... i dont think there is any situation in which you can make all the parties involved happy and allow them to live in peace...
Israel and Palestinians is a different story... Palestinians need to stop suicide attacks and the Israelis need to stop sending gunships/ f-15s/tanks into the the disputed territories...
Even in canada you have people that want independance for Quebec because they speak french and because of their french background.... you know its about time that we realized that we all live on the same planet... we breathe the same air, dictators in the mideast have to understand that Israelis, plaestinins, kurds, turks, persians, arabs.. etc all share one thing with them... that they are all human... I think the opening up of Iraq brings a very good hope for the mideast... and the world, but that cannot be done until regeimes like that of Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia are removed.

Acually I dont think that people would want their own country if they where fully accepted in the country they live.
And yes - I think that its possible for more cultures to live happy under one roof - if they want to split apart I think they have good reasons to do so.
