we see different styles each attracting interest --

very roughly, and with all the usual caveats about oversimplifying, offending anyone, &tc. &tc. --

girlydom -- Jessica Alba, Britney Spears. (the classic archetypes, i'd argue, include maralyn monroe, madonna in her early phases, &tc. or among dominatrixes of today, mistress vixen, formerly of cruella; Princess Fatale; Goddess Angelina.)

cool / aloof, powerdom -- Angelina Jolie. (a la Rita Hayworth, Sophia Loren, or Elke Sommer. the J. Newmar incarnation of Catwoman. or, today's dommes, Lady Darla, or perhaps Lady Ramirez, Dante Posh, Stella Von Gent.)

cruel / compact spitfire -- active alfadom - Lucy Liu. (a la Hedy Lamarr in "Sampson and Delilah," or Judy Jones, perhaps Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. among today's man-impalers, Qdangerous, Mistress Ai-Li, Domme Dietrich, Athena Fatale, Madame Sarka.)

real women rulers -- Hillary Clinton (don't cry for me, Argentina -- Evita Peron, Benazir Bhutto. a la Queen Patricia of the OWK, Lady S. of the English Mansion, or Ms. Kirchner in Argentina.)

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Denise Richardson straddle different categories -- girlydom, alfa athletic domme, and even, as they mature, the classic/cool domme.

i don't know what this all means, or what anyone thinks of my analysis, but replies are welcome if i'm leaving out major categories.

she's had a number of under-rated femme fatale roles --

(Joy House, and the Vadim Tales trilogy, where she conducts target practice with a male slave as target for her bow and arrow) --

and scenes (the terrific bimbo-kill, if you will, of Sir Harry Percival in Cat Ballou) --

all of which omits Barbarella, though that winds up being mainly costume eye candy, more than a true female heroine role.

i guess you could say, i can definitely picture it.
